Kaba Kaba is located on the island of Busuanga, 80 miles North of mainland Palawan and 180 miles South West of Manila in the South China Sea. The main town of Busuanga island is Coron, now a growing tourist destination since the development of Busuanga airport some six years ago.
Busuanga island is the largest of the seven hundred island that make up the Calamianis islands that have now become a tourist hotspot. Ten years ago the main visitors where serious divers coming to dive the ship wrecks sunk by the American Navy in 1944. The wrecks are considered one of the top ten dive sights in the world and now attract not only experienced divers but also students looking for SCUBA courses. The main attraction for tourists now are the beautiful islands and beaches that make up the Calamianis. Part of the island development has been the coastal roads that allow tourists to rent motor bikes for a day of sightseeing.
Major companies have now come to the Calamianis to develop resorts on the mainland of Busuanga as well as luxury high end resorts on the outlying islands. Kaba Kaba is situated 3km from town, just 200m back from the main Highway, elevated 100ft above sea level with views of the ocean and Dipulao Cove. Neighbouring resorts and developments include West Town Hotel, Hill Top, La Natural Fernvale sub-division. In the town of Coron there are now more than fifty hotels and lodging houses taking advantage of Busuanga tourists.
